June 9, 2019 Grand Opening Day

Free Day Sponsor Sumits Yoga with April Feldman Teaching and Dorian Merrill guiding the meditation!

April started her adventure in 2008 and clearly recalls her first very humbling moment on the mat. From that moment she was hooked as a student and then progressed into teaching. She realized that at any age, size or skill level this yoga heals the mind, body and soul. She completed yoga alliance 200/HR Hot Yoga teacher training in 2009. She’s currently studio owner of SUMITS YOGA LITTLETON & ENGLEWOOD, first studio in Colorado and 20th nationwide. It is commonplace to find her teaching at the studio, running workshops, holding teacher training’s and/or practicing. She says it truly becomes a part of your life. She says that she receives the same feelings when she teaches as she does when she practices and is very blessed for that. Her favorite teachers are her students, especially those new to the mat; the energy they create is inspirational. In her free time April enjoys jump roping (State Champion), eating out, movies and hanging out with her family.

Dorian was first exposed to meditation through her yoga practice, which began in earnest in 2005. During her yoga teacher training program, she became increasingly convinced of the benefits of meditation and she returned to the practice frequently, patiently waiting for the moment when meditation would naturally stick in her daily life. While it took one of the “Top 5” stressful life events to seal the deal, she has been practicing daily ever since. With experience across a broad array of meditation practice styles, she considers herself a “mindful seeker” and is committed to aiding others in their discovery of mindful living. Dorian is a yoga instructor and member of the board of directors at Mayu Meditation Sanctuary in Denver, CO.
